Extrinsic Limitations of Stealthy Hyperuniform Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 37, 9 October 2026.
Stealthy hyperuniform devices exhibit a scattering‐free angular region whose extent follows a simple quenching equation. Experimental measurements confirm this prediction but reveal quenching efficiencies far below theoretical expectations. Multiple scattering and finite‐size effects are quantified, establishing realistic performance limits for ...

Mind the Bump: Thermal Quenching Correction of Thermoluminescence Glow Curves and Application to SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
The experimentally determined quenching curve from the temperature dependence of luminescence intensity or integrated band area often suffers from a pronounced "bump" so that the thermal quenching cannot be quantified. Solutions to this problem are given and applied to the thermoluminescence of SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+.

Automation and Active Learning for the Multi‐Objective Optimization of Antibody Formulations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 55, 5 October 2026.
Successful antibody formulation necessitates balancing factors such as thermal stability, colloidal stability, and viscosity across a vast excipient design space. This work integrates robotic liquid handling, high‐throughput biophysical characterization, and multi‐objective Bayesian optimization in an iterative closed‐loop Design‐Build‐Test‐Learn cycle.

Precision residential greenspace, urban environmental exposures, and incident dementia among older adults in Sweden: A 16‐year cohort study

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Residential greenspace is linked to mental and cardiometabolic health, but longitudinal studies on detailed greenspace and dementia incidence are limited. METHODS We followed 2993 dementia‐free participants in the Swedish National Study on Aging and Care Kungsholmen for 16 years; 477 developed clinically diagnosed dementia ...
