Location errors in time of arrival (TOA) and time difference of arrival (TDOA) systems [PDF]
It is shown that the covariance matrix of object location errors is identical for time of arrival (TOA) and time difference of arrival (TDOA) systems if the inverse of the covariance matrix of TOA (TDOA) errors is used as a weighting matrix. Also, with this weighting the location errors statistics do not depend on the particular difference pairs in the

In an ultra-wideband (UWB) system, the two-dimensional (2D) multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithms based on high-precision 2D spectral peak search can jointly estimate the time of arrival (TOA) and angle of arrival (AOA).

When Does a Spin Flip? Arrival Time Distributions and Information Propagation in Discrete Quantum Systems [PDF]
We analyze three distinct approaches to time of arrival (TOA) distributions for discrete quantum systems using a spin-12 particle in a constant magnetic field as a paradigmatic example.

Multi-Source Localization Using Time of Arrival Self-Clustering Method in Wireless Sensor Networks
The localization of multiple signal sources based on Time Of Arrival (TOA) measurements in wireless sensor networks is investigated in this paper. When the signal sources cannot be distinguished by their signatures or other unique characteristics, the ...

Quantum delay in the time of arrival of free-falling atoms [PDF]
Using standard results from statistics, we show that for Gaussian quantum systems the distribution of a time measurement at a fixed position can be directly inferred from the distribution of a position measurement at a fixed time as given by the Born ...

Robust time-of-arrival localization via ADMM [PDF]
This article considers the problem of source localization (SL) using possibly unreliable time-of-arrival (TOA) based range measurements. Adopting the strategy of statistical robustification, we formulate TOA SL as minimization of a versatile loss that ...
