Real-Time Systems, 2004
Real-time operating systems are an integral part of complex real-time systems. Three general categories of real-time operating systems exist: small, proprietary kernels, real-time extensions to commercial timesharing operating systems, and research kernels.

The problem of finding proper quantal operators for the time of arrival, when the source is at infinite distance from the detector, is investigated. It is shown that at least two Hermitian operators can be constructed which, in the Hilbert space of positive energy spectrum, are self-adjoint.

This chapter proposes four time operations—gleaning, grounding, stimulating, and transmuting—for practicing time within architecture as an expanded field. By exploring the relationships between the future-past-present through folded time as coexistence and lived time, these time operations unfold the ways to make interprojects for cultural landscape ...

To the Editor:— After reading Taylor's communication on early surgery in strabismus ( Arch Ophthal [Chicago] 70 :752, 1963) to which further attention was directed by an editorial inThe Journal( 187 :298 [Jan 25] 1964), I feel that a word of caution is in order.

OPERATORS ON INHOMOGENEOUS TIME SERIES
International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Finance, 2000We present a toolbox to compute and extract information from inhomogeneous (i.e. unequally spaced) time series. The toolbox contains a large set of operators, mapping from the space of inhomogeneous time series to itself. These operators are computationally efficient (time and memory-wise) and suitable for stochastic processes.

Governing time in operating rooms
Journal of Clinical Nursing, 2006Aim. This paper examines how time is controlled and governed in operating rooms through interpersonal communication between nurses and doctors.Background. Time is a valuable commodity in organizations with improvements often directed towards maximizing efficiencies.

Changing time in an operating suite
International Journal of Nursing Studies, 2001This study focussed on time as a key resource within a hospital setting. The introduction of casemix-based funding, which changed the ways funds were obtained and distributed within the hospital, was accompanied by large cuts in the funds available to the hospital system.
