Neuronavigation – Impact on Operating Time

Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, 1998
It is uncertain whether the use of imaggguided surgery has an influence on operating time. We prospectively studied the time requirements which have to be invested for using image-guided surgery and performed a comparison of operating room times from 125 matched pairs of image-guided and conventional operations.

THE OPTIMUM TIME TO OPERATE FOR CRYPTORCHIDISM

Pediatrics, 1974
On the basis of histological, cellular kinetic and clinical studies, but most importantly, the psychological considerations, it appears best to initiate and complete the treatment for both true crytorchid and for migratory testes between the 4th and 5th birthdays.

Timing of the Operation

1965
Both with open and closed fractures, especially in cases where the skin is contused, we recommend surgery within eight to ten hours, even when this is outside normal operating room hours in the evening or at night. Experience shows that the danger of infection increases materially after this time, particularly when the skin is contused or a sharp piece

Timing of the Operation

1979
It is surprising that the available literature rarely refers to the optimal timing of the operation. Gratzl (1975) is absolutely against surgery for traumatic vascular occlusions within the first hours after the trauma. This view is shared by Chater (1976), who had a postoperative fatality after surgery in the acute phase.

Operational semantics for timed observations

1992
Timed Observations is a semantical framework suitable to study the behaviour of timed concurrent processes. For each process we observe its external behaviour consisting of timed traces (the visible actions performed by the process and related to the instant time when they are executed), refusals (actions refused by a process after executing a trace ...
