Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

New Criteria for Oscillation of Advanced Noncanonical Nonlinear Dynamic Equations

open access: yesMathematics
In this study, novel criteria are derived to ensure the oscillation of solutions in nonlinear advanced noncanonical dynamic equations. The obtained results are reminiscent of the criteria proposed by Hille and Ohriska for canonical dynamic equations ...

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Efficient resource allocation for D2D-enabled social IoT networks: A tripartite and time-scale optimization approach

open access: yesIntelligent and Converged Networks
In the densification of Device-to-Device (D2D)-enabled Social Internet of Things (SIoT) networks, improper allocation of resources can lead to high interference, increased signaling overhead, latency, and disruption of Channel State Information (CSI). In

Oscillation of second order neutral dynamic equations with distributed delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
In this paper, we establish new oscillation criteria for second order neutral dynamic equations with distributed delay by employing the generalized Riccati transformation.

Integration on time scales

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2003
In this paper, the author defines the Riemann and Lebesgue integrals (more precisely, the Riemann and Lebesgue \(\Delta\)-integrals and \(\nabla\)-integrals) on time scales and studies their properties and relationship. In particular, the author presents results concerning the lower and upper Darboux sums, the Riemann sums, the Riemann and Lebesgue ...

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Oscillatory behavior of higher-order neutral type dynamic equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2013
The oscillation behavior of solutions for higher-order delay dynamic equations of neutral type is investigated by making use of comparison with second-order dynamic equations.
