Scaling RDF with Time

Proceedings of the 17th international conference on World Wide Web, 2008
The World Wide Web Consortium's RDF standard primarily consists of (subject, property, object) triples that specify the value that a given subject has for a given property. However, it is frequently the case that even for a fixed subject and property, the value varies with time.

On Scaling of Future Time

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1976
Five future points of time (range: 1977 to 2034), described in terms of either (A) year number, or (B) “after N years,” were scaled using two different types of scaling method. Subjective temporal distance was in each case a power function of chronological time, the exponent being consistently lower in Condition A than in B.

Hamiltonian Systems on Time Scales

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2000
Linear and nonlinear Hamiltonian systems are studied on time scales T. We unify symplectic flow properties of discrete and continuous Hamiltonian systems.

On The Geologic Time Scale

Newsletters on Stratigraphy, 2012
This report summarizes the international divisions and ages in the Geologic Time Scale, published in 2012 (GTS2012). Since 2004, when GTS2004 was detailed, major developments have taken place that directly bear and have considerable impact on the intricate science of geologic time scaling.

SIM Time Scale

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2013
Time measurement is of great importance for science, technology, and commerce. Among the seven base units of the International System of Units, the second can be realized with the smallest uncertainty, currently reaching parts in 1016. Keeping track of the continuous accumulation of seconds allows the formation of time scales that serve as references ...

Time scales

Proceedings of the International School of Physics “Enrico Fermi”, 2006
The definitions of time scales and the current international reference for timekeeping are described pointing out the main strengths of the system. The main application of timekeeping and time metrology, the Global Satellite Navigation Systems, are also introduced.

Atomic Time Scales

Metrologia, 1971
Techniques of construction of atomic time scales are discussed and experiments at the National Research Council using a group of commercial cesium standards and the NRC 2.1 m laboratory cesium standard, Cs III, are described. Time scales based on the multiple standard approach are compared with the scale UTA (NRC) resulting from the periodic ...
