Targeting the AKT/mTOR pathway attenuates the metastatic potential of colorectal carcinoma circulating tumor cells in a murine xenotransplantation model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

LLM-ABBA: Understanding time series via symbolic approximation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The success of large language models (LLMs) for time series has been demonstrated in previous work. Utilizing a symbolic time series representation, one can efficiently bridge the gap between LLMs and time series. However, the remaining challenge is to exploit the semantic information hidden in time series by using symbols or existing tokens of LLMs ...

MET and NF2 alterations confer primary and early resistance to first‐line alectinib treatment in ALK‐positive non‐small‐cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Evaluation of k-means time series clustering based on z-normalization and NP-Free [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Despite the widespread use of k-means time series clustering in various domains, there exists a gap in the literature regarding its comprehensive evaluation with different time series normalization approaches. This paper seeks to fill this gap by conducting a thorough performance evaluation of k-means time series clustering on real-world open-source ...

Channel masking for multivariate time series shapelets [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Time series shapelets are discriminative sub-sequences and their similarity to time series can be used for time series classification. Initial shapelet extraction algorithms searched shapelets by complete enumeration of all possible data sub-sequences. Research on shapelets for univariate time series proposed a mechanism called shapelet learning which ...

Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

DYNAMIC / CHRONOLOGICAL (TIME) SERIES [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Română de Statistică, 2012
Time series, which emphasize the temporal characteristic of phenomena, are an important in the context of macro-economical analyses. Specific to the dynamic series is the fact that they are defined for complexentities, characterized by a high level of ...
