Timed artificial insemination in Serrana nanny-goats: the effects of vaginal specula and artificial insemination technicians [PDF]
The success of artificial insemination (AI) depends on the equipment used, especially regarding the facilitation of artificial insemination technicians’ work and the positioning of insemination guns in the genital tract of animals.

Equine chorionic gonadotropin treatment and timed artificial insemination for dairy cow production under heat stress. [PDF]
This study investigated the effects of timed artificial insemination (TAI) and equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) administration on lactating dairy cows under heat-stress conditions (average temperature-humidity index: 80). Timed artificial insemination

Luteal Presence and Ovarian Response at the Beginning of a Timed Artificial Insemination Protocol for Lactating Dairy Cows Affect Fertility: A Meta-Analysis. [PDF]
Progesterone (P4) concentration during follicular growth has a major impact on fertility response in timed artificial insemination (TAI) protocols. Luteal presence at the beginning of a TAI protocol and ovarian response after the first gonadotropin ...

Estrategies to improve fertility in cattle: artificial insemination following estrus versus timed artificial insemination [PDF]
Artificial insemination (AI) is currently the major biotechnique used worldwide to disseminate superior genetics and to improve reproductive efficiency in bovine herds. Conversely, reports from different parts of the world indicate low pregnancy rates in

Factors That Optimize Reproductive Efficiency in Dairy Herds with an Emphasis on Timed Artificial Insemination Programs. [PDF]
Reproductive efficiency is closely tied to the profitability of dairy herds, and therefore successful dairy operations seek to achieve high 21-day pregnancy rates in order to reduce the calving interval and days in milk of the herd.

Melatonin improves the efficiency of super-ovulation and timed artificial insemination in sheep. [PDF]
It has been well proved that melatonin participates in the regulation of the seasonal reproduction of ewes. However, the effects of short term treatment of melatonin on ewe’s ovulation are still to be clarified. In this study, the effects of melatonin on

Timed Artificial Insemination with Estradiol Cypionate or Insemination at Estrus in High-Producing Dairy Cows [PDF]
A total of 799 Holstein cows from 3 herds were randomly assigned at 37 +/- 3 d in milk (DIM) to timed artificial insemination (AI) or insemination at detected estrus. Cows were presynchronized with injections of PGF(2alpha) at 37 and 51 DIM. At 65 DIM, cows received an injection of GnRH, followed 7 d later by PGF(2alpha).

Injectable progesterone in timed artificial insemination programs in beef cows. [PDF]
The aims of this study were I) to compare the follicular diameter, corpus luteum diameter and serum progesterone (P4) concentrations in cows treated with conventional protocol vs. injectable P4 protocol; II) to determine the serum P4 profile in ovariectomized heifers; and III) to compare pregnancy rate between protocols.
