Prostaglandin F2α Treatment Associated with Timed Artificial Insemination in Ewes
Reproduction in Domestic Animals, 2004ContentsTraditional treatments of two prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGF2α) doses at 10‐day intervals or more did not result in acceptable pregnancy rates in timed artificial insemination (TAI) programmes in ewes. An explanation might be the undefined time‐period of the onset of oestrus and ovulation after the treatment.

Cooled semen for fixed-time artificial insemination in beef cattle
Reproduction, Fertility and Development, 2015This study evaluated the use of cooled semen in a fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) program compared with frozen–thawed semen to improve pregnancy rates in beef cattle. Ejaculates of three bulls were collected and divided into two treatments: (1) frozen–thawed semen and (2) cooled semen.

New treatments associated with timed artificial insemination in small ruminants
Reproduction, Fertility and Development, 2004Timed artificial insemination (TAI) is a very important tool in production systems, as it has a direct impact on cost-efficiency by reducing labour resulting from oestrus detection. However, to make TAI commercially feasible, hormonal treatments need to assure acceptable pregnancy rates and be economically viable.

Timed artificial insemination in dairy cattle
2019Intensive genetic selection for milk production without attention to reproductive performance hascontributed to an inverse relationship between milk production and reproduction. Therefore, estrusdetection and animal identification have become increasingly difficult in dairy herds because of risingherd size and milk production. Poor estrus detection and
