A matheuristic for integrated timetabling and vehicle scheduling

open access: yesTransportation Research Part B: Methodological, 2019
Planning a public transportation system is a complex process, which is usually broken down in several phases, performed in sequence. Most often, the trips required to cover a service with the desired frequency (headway) are decided early on, while the ...

Hijacking the Host Clock: A Nematode Effector Antagonizes Soybean Circadian Defense and Translation Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Soybean employs its circadian clock, governed by GmCCA1, to rhythmically defend against soybean cyst nematodes. The pathogen retaliates by secreting the effector Hg4E02, which hijacks the clock to suppress defense and co‐opt the host's translation machinery for nutrient acquisition.

Beyond knowledge: Cultivating noncognitive skills and attributes through anatomy education

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Abstract Anatomy education has historically prioritized cognitive knowledge acquisition and technical skills, such as spatial awareness and manual dexterity. Noncognitive attributes, essential for early‐stage learners, such as social skills, motivation, emotional intelligence, self‐regulation, self‐efficacy, and resilience, have remained comparatively ...

An integrated micro-macro approach for high-speed railway energy-efficient timetabling problem

open access: yes, 2020
Energy efficiency of train operations is influenced largely by the speed control and the scheduled running time in the train timetable. In practice, the running time of a train is often determined in the train timetabling process at the macroscopic level

Exploring student perceptions of integrating mixed reality with cadaveric teaching in undergraduate neuroanatomy education: A qualitative study

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Abstract Mixed reality (MR) using head‐mounted displays provides three‐dimensional visualizations that have been suggested to enhance learning when used alongside conventional anatomy teaching in medical education. This study explored student perceptions of the integration of MR and traditional cadaveric learning, and their optimal delivery to support ...
