The flooding time synchronization protocol
Proceedings of the 2nd international conference on Embedded networked sensor systems, 2004Wireless sensor network applications, similarly to other distributed systems, often require a scalable time synchronization service enabling data consistency and coordination. This paper describes the Flooding Time Synchronization Protocol (FTSP), especially tailored for applications requiring stringent precision on resource limited wireless platforms.

Timing aspects of synchronous CDMA
5th IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, Wireless Networks - Catching the Mobile Future., 2002Two different techniques are introduced that can be used to synchronize a CDMA system for both the uplink and the downlink. The advantage of synchronous CDMA is that multi-user interference can be eliminated for the dominant path signals by employing orthogonal codes. The main difficulty of synchronous CDMA is the synchronization of the uplink.

Modeling synchronized time series
Proceedings of the Fourteenth International Database Engineering & Applications Symposium on - IDEAS '10, 2010We consider the class of applications that manage time series (TS) and propose a data model and a query language that let these applications manipulate TS data sets at a logical level. We introduce the concept of synchronized time series (STS) to model the alignment of several time series in a common time space.
