Ethylene regulates root growth through effects on auxin biosynthesis and transport-dependent auxin distribution [PDF]
In plants, each developmental process integrates a network of signaling events that are regulated by different phytohormones, and interactions among hormonal pathways are essential to modulate their effect.

Sl-IAA27 gene expression is induced during arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis in tomato and in Medicago truncatula [PDF]
Aux/IAA genes play a pivotal role in auxin transcriptional regulation. Their functions were mainly studied in Arabidopsis through analysis of gain-of-function mutants.

The Arabidopsis JAGGED LATERAL ORGANS (JLO) gene sensitizes plants to auxin [PDF]
Plant growth and development of new organs depend on the continuous activity of the meristems. In the shoot, patterns of organ initiation are determined by PINFORMED (PIN)-dependent auxin distribution, while the undifferentiated state of meristem cells ...

SCFSAP controls organ size by targeting PPD proteins for degradation in Arabidopsis thaliana [PDF]
Control of organ size by cell proliferation and growth is a fundamental process, but the mechanisms that determine the final size of organs are largely elusive in plants. We have previously revealed that the ubiquitin receptor DA1 regulates organ size by

Chlorinated auxins–how does Arabidopsis thaliana deal with them?
Plant hormones have various functions in plants and play crucial roles in all developmental and differentiation stages. Auxins constitute one of the most important groups with the major representative indole-3-acetic acid (IAA). A halogenated derivate of

Final Report [Function of the Arabidopsis TIR1 gene in auxin response] [PDF]
During this grant period substantial progress was made in the characterization of the TIR1 gene in Arabidopsis. Studies showed that the TIR1 protein is part of a protein complex that includes AtCUL1, ASK1 and RBX1. This complex, called SCF-TIR1, functions in the ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation pathway.

A new minisatellite-based scheme for the global surveillance of Xanthomonas citri pv. citri, the causal agent of Asiatic Citrus Canker. : S12O12 [PDF]
Xanthomonas citri pv. citri (Xcc), the causal agent of Asiatic Citrus Canker, is an internationally major bacterial pathogen currently not reported from countries in the Mediterranean basin, including the EU. Some pathological diversity among strains was
