Rubber Friction and Tire Dynamics: A Comparison of Theory with Experimental Data
In this contribution, a simple rubber friction law is presented. The model can be used for tire and vehicle dynamics calculations [19]. The friction law is tested by comparing numerical results to the full rubber friction theory [6] and to experimental ...

Modelling of Truck Tire–Rim Slip on Sandy Loam Using Advanced Computational Techniques
Vehicles often experience low tire pressures and high torques in off-road operations, making tire–rim slip likely. Tire–rim slip is undesirable relative rotation between the tire and rim, which, in this study, is measured by the relative tire–rim slip ...

Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.

Functionally graded metal–ceramic femoral stems are engineered through continuous UMAT‐based stiffness tailoring, eliminating discrete material interfaces while enhancing biomechanical compatibility. Low‐index power‐law gradation optimizes load transfer, reduces stress shielding, and controls implant–bone micromotion, highlighting a materials‐design ...

Tire Lateral Vibration Considerations in Vehicle-Based Tire Testing
Vehicle-based tire testing can potentially make it easier to reparametrize tire models for different road surfaces. A passenger car equipped with external sensors was used to measure all input and output signals of the standard tire interface during a ...

Additive Manufacturing of Alumina‐Reinforced Elastomers
Vat‐photopolymerized elastomers reinforced with platelet‐shaped alumina exhibited preferential orientation, reduced porosity, and significantly enhanced mechanical performance. A 3 wt% platelet loading increased tensile strength from 12.4 to 45.7 MPa, highlighting the critical role of filler morphology in elastomeric VPP composites.
