Endothelial keratoplasty with infant donor tissue
Here we report a case of endothelial keratoplasty with infant donor tissue obtained after brain death. A 52-year-old man with endothelial dysfunction of unknown cause in the right eye underwent non-Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (nDSAEK) with tissue from an infant donor (2 years).

Tissue Banking: Relationship with Blood Donor and Organ Donor Card Status [PDF]
Understanding the relationships among altruistic health acts may serve to aid therapeutic research advances. In this paper, we report on the links between two such behaviours—donating blood and carrying an organ donor card—and willingness to donate urological tissue to a tissue bank.

In vitro and in vivo validation of human and goat chondrocyte labeling by green fluorescent protein lentivirus transduction [PDF]
We investigated whether human articular chondrocytes can be labeled efficiently and for long-term with a green fluorescent protein (GFP) lentivirus and whether the viral transduction would influence cell proliferation and tissue-forming capacity.

ABSTRACT Background While Wilms tumor (WT) typically has a favorable prognosis, relapsed cases—especially those with high‐risk histology—remain therapeutically challenging after intensive frontline therapy. The combination of vincristine and irinotecan has demonstrated activity in pediatric solid tumors, and pazopanib, a multi‐targeted tyrosine kinase ...

The Anticipated Organ Donation Approach Increases the Number of Organ Donors
Objective: Deficiency of organs for transplantation is a significant public health issue. French learned societies accept intensive care unit admission for patients with catastrophic neurological prognosis to optimize organs prior to probable brain death.

Gamma interferon-dependent clearance of cytomegalovirus infection in salivary glands [PDF]
Cytomegalovirus (CMV), similar to other members of the Herpesviridae family, can establish both persistent and latent infections. Each of the CMVs that are found in many animal species replicates in the salivary gland, and oral secretion represents a ...
