Effect of Titanate Coupling Agent on the Mechanical Properties of Flyash Filled Chloroprene Rubber

Polymer-Plastics Technology and Engineering, 2006
Effects of treatment of coupling agent [(neopentyl (diallyl) oxy, trineodecanonyl titanate) (LICA 01)] on mechanical properties of composites made from chloroprene rubber and flyash is reported here. A 1% coupling agent was selected for the treatment of the flyash filler.

Chemical reaction between polyvinyl alcohol and titanate coupling agent with x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy

Journal of Wuhan University of Technology-Mater. Sci. Ed., 2003
The chemical reaction between polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and tri (dioctylpyrophosphoryloxy) isopropyl titanate (NDZ-201) was studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results show that some C−OH functional groups of PVA react with the titanate coupling agent to form CPVA−O−Ti−O−CPVA bond.

EFFECT OF TITANATE COUPLING AGENT ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF CALCIUM CARBONATE FILLED POLYPROPYLENE

International Journal of Polymeric Materials, 2003
Composites of polypropylene filled with untreated and treated calcium carbonate (CaCO3) have been prepared. The surface modification of calcium carbonate was done by using titanate coupling agent. The effect of this treatment on the interfacial adhesion and the dispersion of filler particles in the polymeric matrix was evaluated by performing ...

Effects of titanate coupling agent on the properties of mica‐reinforced nylon‐6 composites

Polymer Engineering & Science, 2005
AbstractParticulate‐reinforced thermoplastic composites are designed to improve the properties and to lower the overall cost of engineering polymers. In general, the performance of filled polymers is decided on the basis of the interface attraction of filler and polymers.
