Electrochemical performance of granulated titania nanoparticles
Journal of Power Sources, 2004Abstract The electrochemical performance of Li-ion insertion into electrodes made of various sizes of anatase titania nanoparticles embedded in larger granulated entities (1–10 μm) is investigated. The granules are formed by spray drying of a suspension containing titania nanoparticles made by hydrolyzing titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP).

Synthesis and characterization of colloidal titania nanoparticles
MRS Proceedings, 2008ABSTRACTSpherical submicrometer-sized titanium dioxide (TiO2 or titania) particles were prepared by the sol-gel method from hydrolysis and condensation of titanium alkoxide using different basic catalysts in ethanol/acetonitrile at different annealing temperatures.

Synthesis and Characterizations of Amorphous Titania Nanoparticles
Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Letters, 2009Using tetrabutyl titanate as a precursor, amorphous titania (TiO(2)) nanoparticles have been synthesized by a sol gel method. Thermal gravimetry, differential scanning calorimetry, powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were employed to characterize the

The Structure of Multicomponent (Titania/Zirconia) Nanoparticles
Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology, 1998The local structure of titania/zirconia nanoparticles has been investigated using small-angle neutron scattering (SANS). The colloids were prepared either by hydrolyzing a mixture of titanium and zirconium alkoxides, and peptizing the resulting hydrolysate with nitric acid (homogeneous) or hydrolyzing a titanium alkoxide, and peptizing the hydrolysate ...

High-density polyethylene reinforced with titania nanoparticles
2007Titania nanoparticles were prepared by means of two different synthetic procedures in order to obtain different particle size (diameter ranging from 20 nm to 350 nm), shapes and morphologies (amorphous or crystalline). Titania nanoparticles were surface modified with octadecylsilane in order to improve their compatibility with respect to polymeric ...
