Detrital zircon SHRIMP U-Pb age study of the Cordillera Darwin Metamorphic Complex of Tierra del Fuego : sedimentary sources and implications for the evolution of the Pacific margin of Gondwana [PDF]
The Cordillera Darwin Metamorphic Complex in the southernmost Andes includes a basement of probable Palaeozoic age, a mid-Jurassic and younger volcano-sedimentary cover, and a suite of Jurassic granites, all of which were jointly metamorphosed during the

Sediment pathways from source to sink: Organic and clastic sediments are stored and transformed during floodplain transport and deposition, with transport modes shaping signal transmission and sediment alteration. ABSTRACT Analysis of naturally occurring markers of environmental signals, or proxy analysis, in sedimentary records can yield valuable ...

This study of recent exploration drillcore reveals two sequences separated by a disconformity. Basal alluvial fan to shallow marine lithofacies suggest reactivation of basement faults, and a distinct upwelling signature points to a flooded margin, controlled by differential subsidence of diverse Proterozoic lithosphere.

Le magmatisme de la région de Kwyjibo, Province\ud du Grenville (Canada) : intérêt pour les\ud minéralisations de type fer-oxydes associées [PDF]
The granitic plutons located north of the Kwyjibo property in Quebec’s Grenville Province are of\ud Mesoproterozoic age and belong to the granitic Canatiche Complex . The rocks in these plutons are calc-alkalic, K-rich,\ud and meta- to peraluminous. They

ABSTRACT Elevated heat flow associated with mafic magmatism in accretionary orogens has often been proposed as a driving mechanism for (ultra)high‐temperature (UHT) metamorphism and anatexis. The Sancheong–Hadong complex, located in the southern Yeongnam Massif, Korea, consists of a ca.

Natural CaO-TiO2-SiO2 based ceramics [PDF]
Lešnica river deposits consist of a large number of minerals of different grain sizes including sphene. Since it is very difficult to obtain pure monophase titanite by different synthetic routes (sol-gel, coprecipitation, combustion, spray pyrolysis and ...

Reply to discussion on 'A high-precision U-Pb age constraint on the Rhynie Chert Konservat-Lagerstatte: time scale and other implications': Journal, 168, 863-872 [PDF]
We welcome the opportunity to address the points raised by Mark et al. in their discussion of the chemical abrasion isotope dilution thermal ionization mass spectrometry (CA–ID–TIMS) U–Pb age constraint on the Rhynie Chert Konservat-Lagerstätte presented
