Hot corrosion Type I of novel Co‐based γ/γ′ superalloys with and without Al‐ and Cr‐diffusion coatings

Hot corrosion is encountered in turbine engines, where Co‐based superalloys are proposed to replace Ni‐based materials. In the present study, the hot corrosion resistance of γ/γ′ superalloys of the Co–Ni–Al–W alloys was increased by their Co and W content.
