Current Protocols in Cytometry, 1997
AbstractFlow cytometry using fluorochrome‐conjugated antibodies has emerged as a major approach to automated cellular identification. One of the most important issues in immunophenotyping is using the correct amount of antibody. This unit presents techniques for ascertaining the optimal titer for individual, dual, and multiple antibodies used for ...

Of 603 patients undergoing serologic tests for Toxoplasma, syphilis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, and herpes simplex (TORCH tests) during a 4-year period, 381 (63%) were infants younger than 6 months and 110 (18%) were either the mothers of those infants or pregnant women.

A retrospective study of the added value of parallel titers compared with serial titers
Transfusion, 2019BACKGROUNDPrenatal antibody titers for alloimmunized patients are subject to multiple sources of variation. A parallel titer on the previous sample at the same time as the current sample is recommended. The purpose of this study was to determine the added value of parallel titers.STUDY DESIGN AND METHODSThis is a retrospective study of samples from ...

Determination of the Specific Antibody Titer [PDF]
AbstractThe amount of specific antibody present in polyclonal antiserum, ascites fluid, or hybridoma supernatant can be quantitated by either solid‐phase radioimmunoassay (RIA) or by direct ELISA. In the solid‐phase assay described here, serially diluted antiserum is incubated in microtiter wells previously coated with the relevant antigen.
