Titrimetry at a metrological level [PDF]

open access: possibleMetrologia, 2003
In the 1990s the CCQM (Comite consultatif pour la quantite de la matiere) defined the term 'primary method'. It also identified some methods that are considered to be primary. One of these methods is titrimetry. In this paper, the principle of titrimetry and two practical examples performed at the highest metrological level in the frame of key ...

Review of the potential of titrimetry as a primary method

Metrologia, 1997
Titrimetry has wide-ranging applications for amount-of-substance measurements and can be used for both metrological and working-level measurements. This paper is a review of the potential of titrimetry as a primary method. Many parts of a traceability system are in place but these are not formally recognized at either a national or international level.

Determination of acetaminophen by thermometric titrimetry

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1997
Abstract A sensitive, accurate and precise thermometric titration is described for the direct determination of ⩾75 mg of acetaminophen in pure form or in pharmaceutical formulations. Titrations are performed with aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. Excipients tested (starch, talc, lactose) had no effect on the accuracy and precision.

A new approach to titrimetry

Fresenius' Zeitschrift für analytische Chemie, 1983
The universal titration system described is especially designed for potentiometric and photometric routine titrations. The flow system implies the possibility to titrate liquid samples directly without pipetting. The interpolation of the endpoint is based on only 4–10 increments. The outstanding reproducibility of ±0.2% S.D.
