Indirect determination of nitroglycerine by biamperometric titrimetry

Talanta, 1977
A procedure is described for the determination of nitroglycerine in propellant samples by biamperometric titrimetry. The method is simple, avoids the use of expensive instruments, and is free from interferences other than those occurring in the classical techniques. The accuracy and precision are equal to those of existing methods.

Ways in which the ultimate limit of volume titrimetry may be reached are analyzed: the most suitable approach, based essentially upon the use of a bulb burette, allows, in theory, a mechanical precision better than that of the best weight techniques to be obtained, and the various factors influencing this precision are detailed.

Indirect Determination of Sulfate by Nonaqueous Titrimetry

Analytical Chemistry, 1961
A method was developed for the rapid determination of sulfate in the presence of ions such as uranyl and ferric, which interfere in most conventional methods. Sulfate was precipitated by the addition of excess barium acetate. The excess barium acetate was then determined by potentiometric titration with perchloric acid in an acetic acid medium.

End-point sharpness in thermometric titrimetry

It is shown that the sharpness of an end-point in a thermometric titration where the simple reaction A + B right harpoon over left harpoon AB takes place, depends on Kc(A') where K is the equilibrium constant for the reaction, and c(A') is the total concentration of the titrand (A) in the reaction mixture.

Titrimetry as a method of assessment of rumen contents

Titration of rumen fluid reveals the prevailing buffer system: VFA salts and sometimes bicarbonates in the normal state, ammonium salts or lactate in pathological conditions. Titrimetry appears to be a convenient method to study digestion in the rumen.
