The term "geriatric patient" makes more sense to the general public, who are inclined to regard most geriatric patients as being feeble, confused, deteriorated, than it does to those who work intensively with aged men and women. In point of fact, there are wide variations within the ranks of geriatric patients; it is only a minority who fit the ...

Quantitative TLC of Salicylazosulfapyridine
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1974Nine lots of raw material salicylazosulfapyridine from six suppliers were analyzed by an early spectrophotometric method. The lower limit of purity set by this method is 88%. Using a highly purified reference standard, results of the spectrophotometric method were compared to a salicylazosulfapyridine-specific, quantitative TLC method.

TLC Identification of Sulfonamides
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1971An improved identification procedure for the official sulfonamides is presented. The method described uses TLC for separation; identification is accomplished on the plates using a specific detection reagent and suitable reference standards. By the use of three developing systems, the identity of any individual sulfonamide or the components of a mixture

A Feasibility Study on Upgrading the Static TLC Infrastructure to Adaptive TLC
2019 IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Conference (ITSC), 2019This paper evaluates the feasibility of upgrading the static traffic light control to a local adaptive traffic light control, for a road network carrying less-lane-disciplined, heterogeneous traffic. We analyze the performance of a few deep learning based object detection algorithms (e.g., SSD, RCNN), with respect to the computation requirements, and ...

TLC vs Simvastatin vs Simvastatin and TLC in hypercholesterolemia
Nutrition & Food Science, 2016Purpose National Health and Morbidity Survey of Malaysia 2011 revealed that hypercholesterolemia (35.1 per cent, 6.2 million) was the primary leading causes of cardiovascular disease in Malaysia. Currently, three established recommended approaches such as therapeutic lifestyle change (TLC) diet, pharmacotherapy (simvastatin) and TLC + simvastatin are ...
