The anti-viral properties of a small (≈1 kDa), novel Ru(II) photo dynamic compound (PDC), referred to as TLD-1433 (Ruvidar™), are presented. TLD-1433 had previously been demonstrated to exert strong anti-bacterial and anti-cancer properties. We evaluated

This study presents a robust strategy for 3D printing conductive, mechanically resilient MXene–CNF composite structures using a single‐step freeze‐induced crosslinking method. The printed architectures remain stable in both wet and dry states, exhibit high electrical conductivity and mechanical strength, and demonstrate practical application in fully ...

Evaluation of Absorbed Dose of Critical Organ in Rando Phantom under Head, Abdomen and Pelvis Spiral CT Scan by Thermo Luminescent Dosimetery - TLD [PDF]
Background & Objectives: Computed tomography (CT) represents 11% of all diagnostic radiology procedures but it contributes to almost 67% of the total effective dose to the human population.

The transporter‐associated BNCT strategy using BBCIP with or without BPA according to tumor transporter characteristics. BPA showed greater efficacy in LAT1‐dominant F98 glioma, whereas BBCIP was more effective in SMVT‐high CRL1666 tumors, suggesting the potential utility of transporter‐based boron carrier selection in BNCT.

When biology meets materials science – Interdisciplinary applications of electron microscopy
Abstract Research at the interface between biology and materials science creates challenges for electron microscopists. Everything from the sample preparation to the choice of imaging and analytical techniques and the interpretation of the resulting data refuses to sit comfortably within the domain of one discipline or the other.

Linking variation in genome size to cyst size in chrysophytes
Abstract Genome size varies tremendously across eukaryotes, which often contain far more DNA than expected from their biological complexity. To explain this paradox, selection‐based hypotheses propose that genome size evolves through selection acting on life‐history traits correlated with the phenotypic effects, independent of its genic content.

ABSTRACT Growth monitoring and promotion (GMP) programmes have been implemented for decades in almost all countries. Despite this long history of implementation, GMP has been criticised for being ineffective, calling for a rethink of the programme. With a view of contributing evidence towards the redesign of GMP, we conducted a qualitative evaluation ...
