Breaking of axial symmetry in excited heavy nuclei as identified in Giant Dipole Resonance data

open access: yes, 2017
A recent theoretical prediction of a breaking of axial symmetry in quasi all heavy nuclei is confronted to a new critical analysis of photon strength functions of nuclei in the valley of stability.

An analytical framework to price long‐dated climate‐exposed assets

open access: yesQuantitative Economics, Volume 16, Issue 4, Page 1093-1146, November 2025.
This paper uses a tractable stochastic integrated‐assessment model to analyze the influence of climate change on asset returns across time and maturity. Quasi‐analytical, or recursive, formulas allow to price various long‐dated assets, including fixed‐income products, derivatives, and equities.

Incentives and Invention in Universities [PDF]

open access: yes
We show that economic incentives affect the number and commercial value of inventions generated in universities. Using panel data for 102 U.S. universities during the period 1991-1999, we find that universities which give higher royalty shares to ...

Immune Surveillance and Immune Escape in Cancer: Mechanisms and Immunotherapy

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 10, October 2025.
Our review focused on how specific cellular subsets crucial for igniting tumor immunity cycle, notably effector and helper T cells alongside antigen presentation cells, interact closely in both antigen‐dependent and ‐independent manners (within centered ring) adjacent to cancer cells.

Hall coefficient of La$_{1.88-y}$Y$_y$Sr$_{0.12}$CuO$_4$ ($y=0, 0.04$) at low temperatures under high magnetic fields

open access: yes, 2002
The Hall coefficient in the low-temperature tetragonal phase and the mid-temperature orthorhombic phase of La$_{1.88-y}$Y$_y$Sr$_{0.12}$CuO$_4$ ($y=0, 0.04$) single crystals is measured under high magnetic fields up to 9 T in order to investigate the ...

From Lymphotoxin to Tertiary Lymphoid Structures and Beyond

open access: yesImmunological Reviews, Volume 335, Issue 1, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Lymphoid organ development occurs in ontogeny in the absence of antigenic stimulation; inflammation occurs after some immunological insult. These subjects had originally been considered as separate fields of research. Inflammation is due to inflammatory mediators such as lymphotoxin (LT) and its close relative, tumor necrosis factor (TNF). The
