Abstract The Morpeth project is the world's first application of a SeaStar®1 Mini-TLP and establishes that mono-column TLP's can be used to economically develop deepwater fields. This paper discusses the evolution and development of SeaStar technology and its niche in the deepwater platform market.

Abstract The original Ursa TLP development plan called for 16 production wells, 11 firm and 5 contingent. Initial design was for 11 TLP wells and 3 subsea wells. The plan also included batch setting 21 well positions and pre-drilling 6 of the TLP wells in 3,950' of water in MC block 810.

Hydrodynamics in Deepwater TLP tendon design
Journal of Hydrodynamics, Ser. B, 2006Abstract This paper introduces hydrodynamic aspects of in-place TLP tendon design and analysis with emphases on TLP hull/tendon/riser coupled dynamic analysis; tendon Mathieu instability; tendon springing and ringing responses; tendon bottom tension slacking due to wave overtopping; and tendon vortex induced vibration (VIV).

ABSTRACT Fabrication of Hutton tension leg platform (TLP) required the implementation of welding and materials engineering technology in a manner that had not been generally experienced in the offshore industry. This paper addresses several issues that were necessary to ensure the successful and sound fabrication of

Concrete Foundations for TLP's
Offshore Technology Conference, 1992ABSTRACT Two major concepts of concrete foundations for Tension Leg Platforms are discussed, i.e. gravity foundation and gravity-embedded foundation. The latter concept is the preferred solution in a majority of applications. Four types of the gravity-embedded foundation are described.

TOPSIDE FACILITIES DESIGN FOR HUTTON TLP
Proceedings of Offshore Europe, 1983ABSTRACT The Hutton North Sea field is to be developed using the world's first commercial Tension Leg Platform (TLP). This paper explains how the choice of a TLP, with its dynamic behaviour and structural configuration, affected the design of the topside facilities.

New Directions in TLP Technology
Offshore Technology Conference, 2002Abstract Of the many deepwater platform concepts that were developed as deepwater platform technology matured, the TLP has been the most frequently selected for deepwater construction projects. Over the past two decades, TLP technology has proven to be a safe and reliable means for establishing deepwater real estate
