Test Suite development for verification of TLS security protocol

open access: yesТруды Института системного программирования РАН, 2018
Despite the fact that TLS and its predecessor SSL are in use for more than 15 years, there are no accepted public conformance test suite for those protocols.

Probing a two-level system bath via the frequency shift of an off-resonantly-driven cavity

open access: yes, 2019
Although the main loss channel of planar microwave superconducting resonators has been identified to be related to an external coupling to a two-level system (TLS) bath, the behavior of such a cavity in the presence of an off-resonant pump has yet to be ...

Interaction of MgO Recyclate‐Based Cermet Anode With KF‐AlF3‐Al2O3 at 800°C During Laboratory Scale Aluminum Molten Salt Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A carbon‐free, as‐sintered MgO–steel cermet anode, fabricated via cold isostatic pressing using MgO–C refractory recyclate, was evaluated under laboratory‐scale K‐cryolite electrolysis at 800°C. Operation at this reduced temperature, combined with the electrolyte's limited electrical conductivity, led to an increase in cell voltage.

Experimental violation of a Bell's inequality in time with weak measurement

open access: yes, 2010
The violation of J. Bell's inequality with two entangled and spatially separated quantum two- level systems (TLS) is often considered as the most prominent demonstration that nature does not obey ?local realism?.

Impact of Pre‐Oxidation Treatments on a Recycled MgO/Steel‐Composite as Carbon Free Anode in Aluminum‐Electrolysis Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...

Analysis of the impact of TLS point cloud feature sets on the detection of building displacements using machine learning algorithms

open access: yesReports on Geodesy and Geoinformatics
The study addresses the problem of detecting displacements of building walls using terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) data and machine learning methods. Traditional displacement measurement techniques are often time-consuming.

Dielectric constant of glasses: first observation of a two-dimensional behavior

open access: yes, 2002
The 1kHz real part $\chi'$ of the dielectric constant of a structural glass was measured at low temperature $T$ down to 14 mK. Reducing the sample thickness $h$ to 10 nm suppresses the usual minimum of $\chi'$ for measuring fields ...

Microstructure Design of Steel‐Spinel Composites via Spark Plasma Sintering Process

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study illustrates how spark plasma sintering at reduced oxygen partial pressure enables controlled formation of steel‐spinel composites through tailored redox reactions and cation exchange. Comparison of the MgO–Fe2O3, steel–(MgO+Cr2O3), and steel–(MgO+Fe2O3) systems shows how oxygen activity and interface chemistry govern spinel formation, phase ...

Various scenarios of measurements using a smartphone with a LiDAR sensor in the context of integration with the TLS point cloud

open access: yesReports on Geodesy and Geoinformatics
Smartphones with Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) sensors are increasingly used for engineering measurements. Although the processing of the acquired point clouds seems similar to the processing of point clouds measured with, for example, a ...
