Genome‐Wide Screening and Functional Verification of the Tobacco SGR Family Identify Transcription‐Factor‐Like NtSGRL as a Negative Regulator of Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus Resistance

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 10, October 2026.
A chloroplast‐associated STAY‐GREEN protein, NtSGRL1, acts as a negative regulator of antiviral immunity in tobacco. Disruption of NtSGRL1 enhances resistance to diverse plant viruses and reveals a previously unrecognized link between chloroplast regulation and immune signalling.

Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) through the time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Virus mozaika duhana (TMV) jedan je od najjednostavnijih i najbolje istraženih virusa uopće. O njegovoj strukturi napisan je velik broj znanstvenih članaka, a mnoga otkrića do kojih se dolazilo od 19.

Fine mapping and identification of two NtTOM2A homeologs responsible for tobacco mosaic virus replication in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.)

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Background Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) is a widely distributed viral disease that threatens many vegetables and horticultural species. Using the resistance gene N which induces a hypersensitivity reaction, is a common strategy for controlling this disease

Suppression of Infectious TMV Genomes Expressed in Young Transgenic Tobacco Plants

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2007
Full-length cDNAs of the wild-type (wt) Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and of the coat protein gene-deleted (ΔCP) derivative of wt-TMV, under control of the 35S promoter and downstream ribozyme sequence to produce accurate viral transcripts, were transformed

Nanorulers for Super‐Resolution Microscopy

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 18, 28 September 2026.
Nanorulers serve as essential calibration standards to validate optical super‐resolution microscopy down to the Ångström scale. Complementary DNA‐, protein‐, and virus‐based scaffolds provide unique strategies to benchmark spatial resolution, evaluate quantitative labeling efficiency, and mini‐mize linkage errors.

Induction of Plant Resistance against Tobacco Mosaic Virus Using the Biocontrol Agent Streptomyces cellulosae Isolate Actino 48

open access: yesAgronomy, 2020
Viral plant diseases represent a serious problem in agricultural production, causing large shortages in the production of food crops. Eco-friendly approaches are used in controlling viral plant infections, such as biocontrol agents. In the current study,

De Novo Design of Multivalent α/β‐Peptides Mimicking Transcription Factors Targeting the CBP KIX Domain

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 35, 19 September 2026.
A modular, de novo α/β‐peptide design strategy allows fine‐tuning of ligand properties, resulting in multivalent ligands that simultaneously target separate binding sites on the protein surface. ABSTRACT Protein‐protein interactions that regulate gene expression in the nucleus are increasingly recognized as potential therapeutic targets but present ...
