Impact of Metformin and Diabetes on Tumor Response to Total Neoadjuvant Therapy in Advanced Rectal Cancer: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study

Mitochondria are actively exchanged among tumor, immune, stromal, and neuronal cells within the tumor microenvironment. Such transfer rewires tumor metabolism, promotes immune evasion, and drives therapy resistance. Early and Sustained Asthma Control and Remission in Real‐World Patients With Severe Eosinophilic Asthma Treated With Benralizumab: XALOC‐2

Real‐world patients with severe eosinophilic asthma treated with benralizumab showed early and sustained improvements in symptoms. Clinically meaningful improvements began as early as one week after benralizumab initiation, regardless of previous biologic use, and further improved over the following year.

Homo luzonensis and the role of homoplasy in the morphology of hominin insular species

Abstract Homo luzonensis lived during the upper Pleistocene in the northern Philippines, east of the Wallace line. The few specimens attributed to this species show a mosaic of plesiomorphies for the genus Homo and apomorphies found in upper Pleistocene Homo species.

Mechanical Force Promotes Mitochondrial Transfer From Macrophages to BMSCs to Enhance Bone Formation

Cell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Mechanical tension activates Drp1‐mediated mitochondrial fission in macrophages, facilitating the release of Mito‐EVs that are subsequently transferred to BMSCs. Additionally, the CD200R‐CD200 interaction enhances the uptake of these mechanically stimulated macrophage‐derived Mito‐EVs by BMSCs, ultimately promoting osteogenic differentiation.
