TOA: A Novel Metaheuristic Optimization Algorithm Inspired by Marine Turtle Navigation
This study proposes the Turtle Optimization Algorithm (TOA), a bio-inspired metaheuristic motivated by the long-distance navigation behavior of marine turtles.

Seabirds play key ecological roles but face increasing threats worldwide. Among them, Tītī (Sooty Shearwater) Ardenna grisea are among the most abundant and culturally significant species in the Southern Hemisphere but are also threatened. Kapiti Island, Aotearoa (New Zealand), holds a Tītī colony which, despite eradication of non‐native mammalian ...

ABSTRACT Background Malnutrition among school‐age children and adolescents in Ghana is driven by poor diet quality and weakly regulated school food environments (SFEs). School‐based Food and Nutrition Education (SFNE) is a key strategy, but its effectiveness depends on coordinated capacity across sectors.

Abstract Wildfires are increasing in frequency and intensity, strongly influencing both regional air quality and the Earth's radiation budget via their aerosol emissions. Relying on an unparalleled observational data set from the 2019 NOAA/NASA FIREX‐AQ campaign, this study quantifies the direct radiative effects of two wildfires using the HRRR‐Chem ...

New Constraint on Future Ocean Heat Uptake Revealed by Considering Model Spread of Radiative Forcing
Abstract Radiative forcing (F) $(F)$ is the fundamental driver of ocean heat uptake (N) $(N)$; however, its contribution to intermodel spread in N $N$ has not been quantified. We address this gap by leveraging a new set of CMIP6 experiments that diagnoses time‐varying F $F$ for the first time in 11 models.

Abstract Vast areas of Earth's Northern Hemisphere are covered in lakes that form seasonal ice cover, yet their influence on the terrestrial Cryosphere Radiative Effect (CrREt) has not previously been quantified. Here we use 22 years of satellite data to constrain the contribution of lakes to CrREt.

Elimination of TOA corrosion limits [PDF]
In 1958, planned large scale use of the new I & E slug geometry at more severe operating conditions than had been generally experienced suggested a possible compromise in reactor life and safety if a reasonable degree of rupture control with the new type of element was not maintained.

More Stabilizing Radiative Feedbacks in CO2 Removal Scenarios
Abstract Recent studies show that global mean surface temperature exhibits a transient hysteresis during CO2 ${\mathrm{C}\mathrm{O}}_{2}$ removal, where temperatures remain elevated after CO2 ${\mathrm{C}\mathrm{O}}_{2}$ concentrations return to pre‐industrial levels.
