Deforestation Triggers State‐Dependent Cloud Regimes in the Amazon
Abstract The Amazon's arc of deforestation is a hotspot of rapid land‐cover change. Using 20 years of MODIS imagery combined with cloud property retrievals, CERES radiative fluxes, and ERA5 data, we show that deforestation consistently enhances low‐level cloudiness over non‐forest relative to nearby forest during the Amazon dry season.

Interference and Multipath Resilient ToA Estimation
We present a computationally-efficient algorithm for time-of-arrival (ToA) estimation that is robust under multipath propagation and strong interference. Our algorithm leverages multiple receive antennas to combine adaptive spatial filtering with autodifferentiation in order to super-resolve the tap of the first-arriving path at low computational ...

Characteristics of a Multi‐Model Ensemble of Mock‐Walker Simulations
Abstract The Radiative‐Convective Equilibrium Model Intercomparison Project (RCEMIP) phase I provided insights into the tropical radiative‐convective equilibrium state across an unprecedented ensemble of models that includes both those with parameterized and explicit convection.

Hearing loss (HL) was associated with lower socioeconomic status and several health check‐up–related factors, like lifestyle and examination data, especially among males. Among males, occupational noise exposure history, diabetes‐related factors, and excessive alcohol consumption showed stronger associations.

Signaling Vision: Knowing When to Quit
ABSTRACT We study a signaling game where agents signal their type by choosing when to quit pursuing an uncertain project. High types observe news about project quality and quit when bad news arrives. Low types who do not observe any news may mimic high types by quitting continuously over a phase of time.

Extending Māori Concepts in Secondary School Geography
ABSTRACT Secondary school geography brings together tāngata (people) and whenua (land), the central concepts of te ao Māori (the Māori world). Therefore, geography is ideally placed to respond to calls for mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) to gain “equal status” with Western knowledge.

Future Global Warming Constrained by Observed AMOC Strength
Abstract The spread in projected global warming across the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP) models under idealized forcing has been statistically linked to the inter‐model difference in climatological Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (cAMOC), yet the underlying physical mechanisms remain unclear. Here, we analyze realistic future

Abstract We developed an innovative balloon‐borne observation system based on China's BeiDou sounding platform that integrates a three‐axis electric field sensor for in‐cloud measurements of thunderstorm electrification. On 13 May 2025, this system was deployed during a severe convective storm over Beijing. In combination with multisource observations,
