ABSTRACT Within Aotearoa New Zealand there is a growing body of evidence which shows that embedding cultural elements within student experience is a key contribution to the educational success of Māori and Pasifika students. This article describes how the Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland Art Collection team collaborates with indigenous ...

ABSTRACT Perpetual futures are contracts without expiration date in which the anchoring of the futures price to the spot price is ensured by periodic funding payments from long to short. We derive explicit expressions for the no‐arbitrage price of various perpetual contracts, including linear, inverse, and quantos futures in both discrete and ...

Hybrid TOA/AOA Approximate Maximum Likelihood Mobile Localization
This letter deals with a hybrid time-of-arrival/angle-of-arrival (TOA/AOA) approximate maximum likelihood (AML) wireless location algorithm. Thanks to the use of both TOA/AOA measurements, the proposed technique can rely on two base stations (BS) only ...

Landsat TOA Lake ice training dataset
This dataset contains pixel level reflectances and other index used as predictors for a random forest based lake ice classification algorithms. The reflectance data were sampled from Landsat TOA images in the manually determined regions of features (ice,

Tate modules as condensed modules
Abstract We prove that the category of countable Tate modules over an arbitrary discrete ring embeds fully faithfully into that of condensed modules. If the base ring is of finite type, we characterize the essential image as generated by the free module of infinite countable rank under direct sums, duals and retracts.

A simple method for TOA estimation in OFDM systems
In this paper a simple algorithm for the estimation of the Direct Path (DP) Time of Arrival (TOA) in an OFDM-based telecommunications system is proposed.

To address carrier-phase loss of lock and long-term drift in frequency-offset estimation that may arise from time-of-arrival (TOA) measurements in enhanced Loran (eLoran) timing receivers under low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and moderate-to-high ...

Kolmogorov analysis of pulsar TOA
The Kolmogorov stochasticity parameter (KSP) as a sensitive descriptor of the degree of randomness of signals was used to analyze the properties of the NANOGrav pulsar timing data associated with a stochastic gravitational wave background. The time of arrival (TOA) data of white noise for 68 pulsars were analyzed regarding their KSP properties.

Anomalous Energy Fluxes and Feedback Parameter Over the Course of ENSO Events
Abstract Internal variability may provide constraints on the global temperature response to forcing. Previous work showed that ENSO induces atmospheric stratification anomalies that lead to tropical low cloud anomalies not correlated with mean temperature. Here, we expand this argument. We discuss the physical processes leading to a canonical evolution

Retrieving Hourly Aerosol Absorption From Space Using Physical Informed Deep Learning
Abstract Retrieving aerosol absorption properties, such as single scattering albedo (SSA) and absorption aerosol optical depth (AAOD) from single‐view satellite observations remains a significant challenge. This study introduces the Physics‐Informed Neural Network for Aerosols (PINA) framework to retrieve hourly aerosol absorption properties from ...
