AGING MEDICINE, Volume 8, Issue 3, Page 238-248, June 2025.This study found that 54% of elderly inpatients were prescribed at least one potentially inappropriate medication (PIM) based on the 2023 AGS Beers Criteria. Among identified PIMs, 32.2% were medications to avoid, and 52.8% required cautious use. Polypharmacy and chronic kidney disease (CKD) were key predictors of PIM use.
