Edge Fluid Turbulence Simulations of Stellarators With GRILLIX
ABSTRACT The edge fluid turbulence code GRILLIX has recently been extended from axisymmetric tokamak geometries to support 3D stellarator configurations. Following successful proof‐of‐principle simulations published in Stegmeir et al., we present here a comprehensive simulation of the Wendelstein 7‐AS stellarator.

2D Implementation of Kinetic‐Diffusion Monte Carlo in Eiron
ABSTRACT Particle‐based kinetic Monte Carlo simulations of neutral particles are one of the major computational bottlenecks in tokamak scrape‐off layer simulations. This computational cost comes from the need to resolve individual collision events in high‐collisional regimes.

Fluctuating Interfaces in Barotropic Beta‐Plane Turbulence
Abstract Zonal jets manifest themselves as bands with sharp interfaces in the vorticity configuration. We develop an algorithm to track these fluctuating vorticity interfaces and systematically investigate their characteristic spatio‐temporal behaviors.

Impact of poloidal convective cells on momentum flux in tokamaks
Radial fluxes of parallel momentum due to $E\times B$ and magnetic drifts are shown to be correlated in tokamak plasmas. This correlation comes from the onset of poloidal convective cells generated by turbulence.

Abstract The nonlinear development of ballooning instability and the subsequently induced plasmoid formation in the near‐Earth magnetotail demonstrated in MHD simulations has been proposed as a potential trigger mechanism for substorm onset over the past decade, and their connections to the in situ satellite and ground all‐sky auroral optical ...

Spatially resolved rotational temperature of ground state hydrogen molecules desorbed from plasma-facing surface was measured in QUEST, LTX-β, and DIII-D tokamaks, and the increases of the rotational temperature with the surface temperature and due to ...

Microtearing Modes in Reversed Field Pinch Plasmas
In the reversed field pinch RFX-mod strong electron temperature gradients develop when the Single-Helical-Axis regime is achieved. Gyrokinetic calculations show that in the region of the strong temperature gradients microtearing instabilities are the ...

Abstract This article examines how data readiness for AI principles apply to large scientific datasets used to train foundation models. We analyze archetypal workflows across four representative domains—climate, nuclear fusion, life sciences, and materials—to identify common preprocessing patterns and domain‐specific constraints.
