Experimental Treatment of Hepatozoon Infections with the Anticoccidial Agent Toltrazuril
Journal of Veterinary Medicine, Series B, 1988SummaryA new in vivo test model for experimental anticoccidial drug research has been developed. Hepatozoon erhardovae, a very common flea‐borne hemogregarine species of the European bank vole, causes lethal infections when sufficient sporozoites are administered.

The use of toltrazuril for the prevention of coccidiosis in piglets before weaning
Australian Veterinary Journal, 1995SUMMARY:To determine the efficacy of toltrazuril as a prophylactic treatment for coccidiosis in piglets caused byIsospora suis (I suis), a single 1.0 mL dose of toltrazuril was administered orally to 1056 piglets between 3 and 6 days of age, in 5 piggeries.

Chemoprophylaxis of coccidiosis in lambs with a single oral dose of toltrazuril
Veterinary Parasitology, 1991The prophylactic efficacy of a single oral dose of toltrazuril against coccidiosis (mixed Eimeria infections) in naturally infected lambs was evaluated in two experiments. Toltrazuril at 20 mg kg-1, given on Day 7 or Day 10 after turnout on pasture, proved to be highly efficacious in preventing clinical coccidiosis under Norwegian conditions ...

Immunity to coccidiosis after treatment with toltrazuril
Parasitology Research, 2000Some characteristics of immune sera after toltrazuril treatment which may be involved in the enhancement of immunity are as follows. Firstly, toltrazuril acts against all intracellular parasite stages from 1 to 168 h post-infection: intracellular schizonts of generations I, II and III and also intracellular gamonts.

ACUTE TOXICITY STUDY BASED ON TOLTRAZURIL, TINIDAZOLE AND LEVAMISOLA
International Journal of Veterinary Medicine, 2022As a result of the studies, it was found that the proposed drug based on toltrazuril, tinidazole and levamisole hydrochloride according to the average lethal oral dose in accordance with GOST 12.1.007–76 belongs to the fourth hazard class - low-hazard substances.

Veterinary Record, 2010
Treatment of intestinal coccidiosis was studied in domestic pet rabbits. In 45 rabbits aged four months or more, coccidial oocysts were observed in the faeces of 35 rabbits at a mean density of 806 opg (range 50 to 6800 opg).

Toltrazuril treatment of cystoisosporosis in dogs under experimental and field conditions
Parasitology Research, 2000Coccidia of the genus Cystoisospora cause mild to severe diarrhoea in dogs. The effects of toltrazuril treatment on cystoisosporosis were studied under experimental and field conditions. Twenty-four puppies were experimentally infected each with 4 x 10(4) oocysts of the Cystoisospora ohioensis group.

Toltrazuril does not show an effect against pigeon protozoal encephalitis
Parasitology Research, 2015The protozoan parasite Sarcocystis calchasi causes a severe neurologic disease in domestic pigeons (Columba livia f. dom.) named pigeon protozoal encephalitis. Recently, the parasite has also been reported in psittacines causing a virtually identical disease with fatal outcome. So far, an etiological treatment of S.

Efficacy of toltrazuril against artificial infections with Eimeria bovis in calves
Parasitology Research, 2003Eimeria bovis causes catarrhalic to haemorrhagic diarrhea, sometimes lethal, in calves. Two randomized blinded studies were conducted to examine the efficacy of toltrazuril (5 % oral suspension, single application) on experimental E. bovis infection. Sporulated oocysts of a pathogenic field strain were orally inoculated at a dose of 5×104 (study 1) or ...

Toltrazuril – primjena i farmakokinetika
