BCG‐Derived Outer Membrane Vesicles Induce TLR2‐Dependent Trained Immunity to Protect Against Polymicrobial Sepsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
B‐OMVs, nanoscale vesicles derived from BCG, are identified as effective and safe inducers of trained immunity that protect against sepsis. Through TLR2‐mediated metabolic and epigenetic reprogramming of hematopoietic stem cells, B‐OMVs enhance inflammatory response and phagocytic activity.

Versatile Halide‐Pair‐Driven Multicomponent Polymerization for Library Synthesis of Sequence‐Controlled Semiconducting Dendronized Polymers

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A halide‐pair‐driven multicomponent polymerization (MCP) strategy enables the efficient synthesis of diverse sequence‐controlled semiconducting poly(triarylamine)s (PTAAs), including dendronized variants, advancing the development of next‐generation organic materials.

CHROMOENDOSCOPY USING TOLUIDINE BLUE PLUS LUGOL’S SOLUTION FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF ESOPHAGEAL PREMALIGNANT LESIONS AND SUPERFICIAL NEOPLASMS IN HIGH-RISK PATIENTS

open access: yesArquivos de Gastroenterologia, 2019
BACKGROUND: Esophageal cancer is the eighth most common cancer. The prognosis is bleak in patients with advanced stages. Patients with early disease have a better prognosis than those with advanced stage.

Brachyury‐Activated Fucoidan Hydrogel Microspheres Rejuvenate Degenerative Intervertebral Discs Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study describes the creation of injectable Brachyury (Bry) mRNA‐loaded Fucoidan‐functionalized GelMA hydrogel microspheres (BLNP@GF). These microspheres efficiently suppress inflammation, enhance extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesis in degenerated nucleus pulposus cells, and mitigate intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) in rat models.

Do we miss half of the injuries sustained during rape because we cannot see them? An overview of the use of toluidine blue tissue stain in the medical assessment of rape cases

open access: yesSouth African Family Practice, 2018
The prosecution of rape cases is difficult due to the absence of eyewitnesses. McCauley found that the detection of vaginal lacerations increased from one in 24 to 14 in 24 in reported adult rape cases when toluidine blue was used.

Dual‐Modular Hydrogel Microparticles with Precision‐Modulation of Inflammatory Microenvironment Dictate Full‐Thickness Cartilage Regeneration for Osteoarthritis Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cartilage injury is a prominent pathological hallmark of osteoarthritis. In this study, we developed a two‐modular hydrogel microparticle system wherein HMP‐A effectively targets the damaged area, while HMP‐B forms an efficient connection with HMP‐A on the cartilage surface.

Engineered Anti‐Senescence Trachea With Post‐Transplanted Regenerative Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bioengineered trachea undergoes post‐transplanted senescence, which is found in this study for the first time. Hebe‐ET is designed with dual anti‐senescence strategies: fiber‐film scaffold in cartilage rings for close‐packed cell interaction, and quercetin‐loaded fibrous rings for immune modulation.

Bioactive Silk Sericin/Bioceramic Nerve Guidance Conduit for Effective Repair of Long‐Gap Transected Peripheral Nerve Injury through Regulating Schwann Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies akermanite among six bioceramics and reveals its ability to enhance Schwann cell's proliferation, migration, and secretion. When combined with silk sericin, the composite conduit synergistically enhances Schwann cell‐mediated regenerative processes.

Establishment and evaluation of a novel rat model of the fourth ventricle hemorrhage

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
In this study, a novel rat model of fourth ventricle hemorrhage was established via autologous blood injection through the foramen of Magendie. Anesthetized rats were positioned in a stereotaxic apparatus with their heads tilted downward at an angle of approximately 20° relative to the vertical axis.

Tetraethylammonium dibromidotricarbonyl(o-toluidine)rhenate(I)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2011
In the title compound, (C8H20N)[ReBr2(C7H9N)(CO)3], the ReI atom is octahedrally surrounded by three carbonyl ligands orientated in a facial arrangement, two bromide ligands and an o-toluidine ligand.
