Comparison of Maternal Echocardiographic Findings in Women with Early Onset Preeclampsia and Late Onset Preeclampsia: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research
Introduction: Preeclampsia is a leading cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Significant cardiovascular aptations occur in preeclampsia, with Early Onset Preeclampsia (EOPE, onset before 34 weeks of gestation) associated

From patient to tumor organoid: Culture protocol choice controls glioblastoma tumor architecture and identity

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
How glioblastoma organoids are made shapes what they become. Fragment‐based cultures preserve extracellular matrix networks, cellular diversity, and primary tumor identity, whereas dissociation‐based cultures shift toward growth‐adapted states and simplified microenvironments. Abstract Patient‐derived tumor organoids are widely used in cancer research,

Anatomical description of the jaw muscles and theoretical bite force assessment in South American opossums using manual and digital dissection methods

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
Manual and virtual dissections were employed to examine the masticatory muscle architecture and bite force of three South American marsupials. The organisation of the muscles differed between species, with predicted bite forces exceeding previous estimates.

A 3D atlas of the trigeminal nerve and its relevance for comparative studies of the masticatory apparatus in rodents

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
The trigeminal nerve of the rat (Rattus norvegicus) and its relationship with different masticatory muscles. dig, digastric nerve; ep, external pterygoid nerve; ip, internal pterygoid nerve; maadm, branch of the masseteric nerve for the anterior deep masseter; mapdm, branches of the masseteric nerve for the posterior deep masseter; masm, branch of the ...

‘Civilizing’ Smallholders Through Oil Palm: The Politics of Subsumption Across Southern Mexico's Commodity Frontiers

open access: yesJournal of Agrarian Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While most frontier studies associate commodity expansions with dispossession, I argue that such expansions can also function as ‘civilizational’ projects aimed at overcoming traditional farming and creating new rural subjects better suited to the needs of capitalist development. Using a Gramscian approach to study subsumption, I analyse three

Acute hot‐water immersion augments the diastolic blood pressure nocturnal dip in healthy adults

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Hot‐water immersion (HWI) has been shown to reduce 24 h ambulatory systolic blood pressure in hypertensive adults and might represent a preventative strategy for maintaining cardiovascular health in normotensive adults. The purpose of this study was to determine the time course of post‐HWI hypotension and test the hypothesis that a single HWI ...

Thermal and cardiovascular responses to sauna are attenuated by adding cold water immersion to cooling breaks

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract The independent effects of different cooling practices, such as cold‐water immersion (CWI), on thermal and cardiovascular responses to sauna remain unclear. This study tested the hypothesis that thermal and cardiovascular responses to sauna are attenuated when CWI was included in a cooling break compared to cooling in air only.

Framing the Square: Cinematic Procedures and Visual Regimes in Diamela Eltit's Lumpérica

open access: yesBulletin of Latin American Research, Volume 45, Issue 4, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This article examines how Diamela Eltit's Lumpérica (1983) constructs a regime of visibility through the spatial organisation of the public square that structures the novel. While criticism has often emphasised the text's linguistic fragmentation and performative dimensions, less attention has been paid to the visual procedures through which ...

Graph identification of proteins in tomograms (GRIP‐Tomo) 2.0: Topologically aware classification for proteins

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Cryo‐electron tomography (cryo‐ET) enables structural characterization of biomolecules under near‐native conditions. Existing approaches for interpreting the resulting three‐dimensional volumes are computationally expensive and have difficulty interpreting density associated with small proteins/complexes.
