Optical coherence tomography with a Fizeau interferometer configuration [PDF]
We report the investigation of a Fizeau interferometer-based OCT system. A secondary processing interferometer is necessary in this configuration, to compensate the optical path difference formed in the Fizeau interferometer between the end of the ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

The application of optical coherence tomography to image subsurface tissue structure of Antarctic krill Euphausia superba [PDF]
Many small open ocean animals, such as Antarctic krill, are an important part of marine ecosystems. To discover what will happen to animals such as krill in a changing ocean, experiments are run in aquaria where conditions can be controlled to simulate ...

Optical coherence tomography angiography
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a non-invasive angiography type without a contrast agent, which provides a detailed assessment of the retinal and choroidal vasculature and visualization of blood flow by detecting motions of ...

The role of optical coherence tomography guidance in scaffold versus stent optimization
Background Optical coherence tomography showed a great ability to identify adverse features during percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stents and resulted in better clinical outcomes.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Full-field optical coherence tomography using a fibre imaging bundle [PDF]
An imaging fibre bundle is demonstrated for spatially-multiplexed probe beam delivery in OCT, with the aim of eliminating the mechanical scanning currently required at the probe tip in endoscopic systems.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

A Review Relations of Optical Tomography and Optical Coherance Tomography
Optical Tomography (OT) is a form of computed tomography using a digital model of the volume of an object by reconstructing an image of the light transmitted and scattered by the object. OT is used mostly as a form of research in medical imaging. OT depends on the reference object being at least partially light transmitting or translucent, so it works ...

Anti-Spoof Reliable Biometry of Fingerprints Using En-Face Optical Coherence Tomography [PDF]
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a relatively new imaging technology which can produce high-reso- lution images of three-dimensional structures. OCT has been mainly used for medical applications such as for ophthalmology and dermatology.
