A joint estimation detection of Glaucoma progression in 3D spectral domain optical coherence tomography optic nerve head images [PDF]
Glaucoma is an ocular disease characterized by distinctive changes in the optic nerve head (ONH) and visual field. Glaucoma can strike without symptoms and causes blindness if it remains without treatment. Therefore, early disease detection is important so that treatment can be initiated and blindness prevented.

We evaluate the performance of a cheap ultrasonic stage in setups related to optical coherence tomography. The stage was used in several configurations: 1) optical delay line in optical coherence tomography (OCT) setup; 2) as a delay line measuring coherence function of a low coherence source (e.g. superluminescent diode); 3) as a path length modulator

The risks of ventricular fibrillation (Vfib) associated with frequency-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT)/optical frequency domain imaging (OFDI) remain undetermined. We retrospectively studied the occurrence of Vfib during OCT/OFDI for unselected indications. The frequency of Vfib and patient and procedural characteristics were investigated.

Most transitional cell tumorigenesis involves three stages of subcellular morphological changes: hyperplasia, dysplasia and neoplasia. Previous studies demonstrated that owing to its high spatial resolution and intermediate penetration depth, current OCT technology including endoscopic OCT could delineate the urothelium, submucosa and the upper ...

The Choroid and Optical Coherence Tomography
The choroid is the most vascular tissue in the eye and it plays an important role in the pathophysiology of various common chorioretinal diseases such as central serous retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and degenerative myopia.
