Block Overlap Based CNC Interpolator with Variable Time Constant [PDF]

open access: yes한국정밀공학회지
This paper proposed a CNC interpolator based on block overlap, capable of changing acceleration and deceleration time constants during continuous machining. The time constant can be set individually for each block through G-code commands.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

Reconfigurable Computing for Tool-Path Computation

open access: yesThe International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2003
Tool path generation is one of the most complex problems in Computer Aided Manufacturing. Although some efficient strategies have been developed to solve it, most of them are only useful for 3 and 5 axis standard machining. The algorithm called Virtual Digitising computes the tool path by means of a “virtually digitised” model of the surface and a ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

Automated selection of homologs to track the evolutionary history of proteins

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2018
Background The selection of distant homologs of a query protein under study is a usual and useful application of protein sequence databases. Such sets of homologs are often applied to investigate the function of a protein and the degree to which ...
