Influence of the Trochoidal Tool Path Generation Method on the Milling Process Efficiency
The article presents a comparison of three trochoidal paths: written by G-Code, generated using the overlays from the machine level, and generated using the CAD/CAM environment.

This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Packaging of Macroscopic Material Payloads: Needs, Challenges, Concepts, and Future Directions
This review introduces a unified framework that decomposes any macroscopic packaging system into the payload, packaging material, and packaging strategy and combines them into a conceptual packaging equation: packaging strategy = payload + packaging material.

Modelling and simulation of the dynamic cutting process and surface topography generation in nano/micro cutting [PDF]
In nano/micro cutting process, the surface quality is heavily dependent on all the dynamic factors in machining including those from the material, tooling, cutting parameters, servo accuracy, mechanical structure deformation, and non-linear factors as ...

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

A Higher-Order Formula of Path Interval for Tool-Path Generation
This paper presents a novel fourth-order formula for determining path intervals and comprehensively considers path interval formulas. In tool-path generation, a path interval is generally formulated as a scallopheight polynomial. Controlling scallop height in mechanical machining improves surface roughness or machining efficiency.

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...
