A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Validating specifications of dynamic systems using automated reasoning techniques [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a new approach to validating formal specifications of observable behavior of discrete dynamic systems. By observable behavior we mean system behavior as observed by users or other systems in the environment of the system ...

Tool path planning based on conformal parameterization for meshes
AbstractThe similarity property of conformal parameterization makes it able to locally preserve the shapes between a surface and its parameter domain, as opposed to common parameterization methods. A parametric tool path planning method is proposed in this paper through such parameterization of triangular meshes which is furthermore based on the ...

Tool-path planning method for kinematics optimization of blade machining on five-axis machine tool
Abstract Planning tool-paths on free-form surfaces is a widely discussed issue. However, traditional methods of generating paths capable of meeting all the requirements of blade machining remain challenging. In this study, a new iso-parametric path-planning strategy based on a novel parameterization method combined with the conformal ...

A Knowledge‐Based Approach for Understanding and Managing Additive Manufacturing Data
Additive manufacturing processes generate a large amount of data. Effectively managing, understanding, and retrieving information from this data remains a major challenge. Therefore, we propose an ontology‐based approach to integrate heterogeneous data, enable semantic queries, and support decision‐making.
