Mathematical model of the worm wheel tooth flank of a double-enveloping worm gear
This paper presents a novel method for determining the worm wheel tooth flank surface. The worm wheel model is developed according to the theory of gearing and the gear generation mechanism. Two cases are considered simultaneously.

動力伝達用プラスチック歯車に関する研究(歯面温度に関する考察) [PDF]
Until now, the decrease of mechanical strength owing to temperature rising is attached great importance as the most important factor to decide the life cycle (wear, breakage) of plastic gears for power transmisson.

On optimization of internal/external spur gears tooth bending strength
Gear fatigue strength is primarily controlled by the durability and load capacity, the first is typically related to pitting damage and the second to tooth-breakage.

Surface fitting of an involute spur gear tooth flank roughness measurement to its nominal shape
A method for fitting a topography measured on an involute spur gear tooth flank to its nominal shape is proposed, so that the exact position along the length of the tooth from which the measured surface originates can be determined, and so that the ...

Spiral Bevel Gears with Optimised Tooth-End Geometry
Industrially-manufactured, spiral bevel gears with complementary tooth-end surfaces as a rule have reduced tooth thickness and subsequently reduced strength at the tooth ends. The weakened tooth ends of octoid gearing are generally produced by machining,

Full contact analysis versus standard load capacity calculation for cylindrical gears
Modern gear design is driven by full tooth contact analysis to determine adequate gear microgeometry. Engineers strive to optimize load distribution and make use of the full load carrying capacity of the gear set. Local stress levels in the tooth contact
