[Autotransplantation of tooth germs].

Mondo ortodontico, 1990
During the routine orthodontic examination of a 8-year-4-month old female, it was found that the upper right canine and premolars were missing. The anamnesis revealed that their buds had been surgically removed after a trauma when she was 6 years old. The lower incisors were slightly crowded.

A modification of tooth germ cultivation in vitro and in ovo

Cytotechnology, 1991
Mandibular molar anlages excised from 17-day mouse foetuses were cultured in vitro or in ovo (on the chorioallantoic membrane). In both cases, the explants were underlain either with a Millipore filter or with a piece of fibrin foam. Tooth germs were harvested after 7 days of cultivation and processed histologically.

Shope papilloma virus and tooth germ transplants

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1958
Abstract Growth and development of transplants of species-susceptible tooth germs were altered, whether homotransplanted or heterotransplanted. With species-resistant tooth germs, whether transplants were made to a species-susceptible or a species-resistant strain, no alterations in expected growth and development were observed.

Tissue interactions in embryonic mouse tooth germs: I. Reorganization of the dental epithelium during tooth-germ reconstruction

Development, 1970
ABSTRACT The ability of fragments of incisor enamel organ and lip-furrow epithelium from 15-and 16-day old embryonic mice to regulate into harmonious tooth constructions is described. The cervical loop and upper half portions of the incisor enamel organ were confronted with incisor or molar dental papillae. Similar combinations were made

Cellular proliferation in the tooth germ of the rat incisor

Archives of Oral Biology, 1965
Abstract Mitotic activity has been studied in parasagittal sections of incisor tooth germs from thirty-five rats ranging from birth to 76 days of age. General sites of mitosis in the tooth germ have been visualized, and quantitative analyses have been made regarding the axial distribution of mitotic figures and mitotic indices in the internal enamel ...

The distribution of alkaline phosphatase in the human tooth germ

Archives of Oral Biology, 1962
Abstract The distribution is reported of alkaline phosphatase in the human tooth germ from the time of initiation up to and including the stage where the first increments of enamel matrix have formed. The early occurrence of enzyme activity in the stellate reticulum is considered to be associated with the determination of the crown pattern of the ...

Expression of beta-catenin in human tooth germ.

Analytical and quantitative cytology and histology, 2009
To evaluate beta-catenin expression in human tooth germ development.Specimens of 7 human fetuses aged between the ninth and sixteenth week were examined for beta-catenin expression by immunohistochemistry. In the bud stage, we observed catenin membranous positivity for all primitive dental lamina and dental ridge cells, cytoplasmic positivity for tooth ...
