Mitochondrial granule distribution in tooth germ cells
The Anatomical Record, 1977AbstractIncisor and molar tooth germs of albino rats sacrificed at the eighteenth and twentieth days in utero and one to seven days after birth were studied with light and electron microscopy. Observations of the various stages of tooth development in molars established that intramitochondrial granules in odontoblasts were comparable to the ...

Tooth replantation in germ-free and conventional rats
Dental Traumatology, 2007The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the influence of bacterial infection on the pulpal and periodontal tissues in replanted teeth using germ-free and conventional rats. Forty maxillary and mandibular first molars from ten 6-week-old germ-free male Wistar rats were used.

A modification of tooth germ cultivation in vitro and in ovo
Cytotechnology, 1991Mandibular molar anlages excised from 17-day mouse foetuses were cultured in vitro or in ovo (on the chorioallantoic membrane). In both cases, the explants were underlain either with a Millipore filter or with a piece of fibrin foam. Tooth germs were harvested after 7 days of cultivation and processed histologically.

[Autotransplantation of tooth germs].
Mondo ortodontico, 1990During the routine orthodontic examination of a 8-year-4-month old female, it was found that the upper right canine and premolars were missing. The anamnesis revealed that their buds had been surgically removed after a trauma when she was 6 years old. The lower incisors were slightly crowded.

Shope papilloma virus and tooth germ transplants
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1958Abstract Growth and development of transplants of species-susceptible tooth germs were altered, whether homotransplanted or heterotransplanted. With species-resistant tooth germs, whether transplants were made to a species-susceptible or a species-resistant strain, no alterations in expected growth and development were observed.

The sensitivity of the developing tooth germ to systemic disturbances
Early Human Development, 1984Deciduous tooth germs were removed from 76 babies who were either stillborn or had died in infancy. Lines in enamel or dentine were identified histologically. A chronological association was found between these lines and systemic illness in the child or pregnant mother in half the cases studied.

Development, 1970
ABSTRACT The ability of fragments of incisor enamel organ and lip-furrow epithelium from 15-and 16-day old embryonic mice to regulate into harmonious tooth constructions is described. The cervical loop and upper half portions of the incisor enamel organ were confronted with incisor or molar dental papillae. Similar combinations were made

Cellular proliferation in the tooth germ of the rat incisor
Archives of Oral Biology, 1965Abstract Mitotic activity has been studied in parasagittal sections of incisor tooth germs from thirty-five rats ranging from birth to 76 days of age. General sites of mitosis in the tooth germ have been visualized, and quantitative analyses have been made regarding the axial distribution of mitotic figures and mitotic indices in the internal enamel ...

The distribution of alkaline phosphatase in the human tooth germ
Archives of Oral Biology, 1962Abstract The distribution is reported of alkaline phosphatase in the human tooth germ from the time of initiation up to and including the stage where the first increments of enamel matrix have formed. The early occurrence of enzyme activity in the stellate reticulum is considered to be associated with the determination of the crown pattern of the ...
