Black in Impressionism and Post‐Impressionism: Art, Color Vision, and Psychophysics
Black has engendered controversy in 19th Century color theory and in Impressionist and Post‐Impresssionist painting. The neural mechanisms of blackness perception are being revealed through contemporary psychophysics. ABSTRACT From Paleolithic cave art to modern abstraction, artists have used black not merely as a neutral tone, but as a powerful ...

Design of Initial Mining Pressure Relief Scheme for Large‐Size Mining Face: A Case Study
The numerical simulation analysis method is used to compare the actual mining face (315 m) with the designed mining face (200 m). The results show that the large mining height working face has larger abutment pressure peak and stress concentration factor than the general mining height working face.

Numerical simulation of gas migration rules and comparison between U shape and U+L shape ventilation system [PDF]
This paper offers an overview of numerical simulation with the aim of improving the knowledge and reference of coal mine gas distribution rule, and providing a case study of the optimization of ventilation system and environment protection. The numerical

With the advancement of coal mining technology driving the development of working faces toward increased mining heights and extended lengths, the enlargement of face dimensions has led to expanded overlying strata failure zones and intensified ground pressure manifestations. Consequently, traditional methods for determining hydraulic support resistance

This study reveals the temporal and spatial evolution law of roof separation under the karst aquifer and the dynamic water inrush mechanism of roof separation. The FAHP–EWM–CRITIC combination weighting method was established to obtain the risk zoning of bed separation water inrush in a karst landform mining area. ABSTRACT Coalfields in northern Guizhou

Intelligent long wall top coal caving mining
Longwall Top Coal Caving (LTCC) mining technology is an effective method for mining thick and extra thick coal seams in China.Since its application in China in 1982, significant progress has been made, forming a variety of mining modes such as LTCC with large mining height, LTCC in extra thick coal seams and LTCC in steeply inclined thick coal seams ...
