Years after its discovery in 1995 by CDF and D0, the top quark still undergoes intense investigations at the Tevatron. Using up to the full Run~II data sample, new measurements of top quark production and properties by the D0 Collaboration are presented.

Top Quark Condensate Revisited [PDF]
In the light of recent discovery of a very heavy top quark, we reexamine the top quark condensate model proposed by Miransky, Tanabashi and Yamawaki (MTY) and by Nambu.

Abstract Exercise and heat stress have been reported to independently provide benefits to brain health. We tested the hypothesis that 8 weeks of post‐exercise local heating, passive local heating only, or exercise training only improves cognitive performance compared to a control group.

Measurement of top quark polarisation in t-channel single top quark production
A first measurement of the top quark spin asymmetry, sensitive to the top quark polarisation, in t-channel single top quark production is presented. It is based on a sample of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1).

Collider sensitivity to SMEFT heavy-quark operators at one-loop in top-quark processes
We study the effects of four-heavy-quark operators in the production of top quarks in the framework of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) at the LHC. In particular, we compute for the first time the total contribution of the four-top-quark

Recent measurements of top-quark properties at the LHC and at the Tevatron are presented. The results include precision measurements of standard model parameters, such as the top-quark mass, the measurement of angular distributions as well as the search ...

Abstract Following an acute infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2), a substantial percentage of patients report the persistence of debilitating symptoms, often grouped in a syndrome termed ‘long COVID’. We sought to identify potential pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for the persistence, in some long COVID ...

Cardiopulmonary function in special operations forces compared to conventional infantry soldiers
Abstract Fitness is essential to military personnel in general, especially in the special operations forces (SOF), where the demanding tasks require a high level of physical fitness and mental robustness. However, little research has been done on SOF to characterise the putative underlying cardiopulmonary adaptations that distinguish them from ...

Searches for new physics in the top-quark sector using data from proton-antiproton collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron are discussed. The large data sets collected by the D0 and CDF experiments allow for precision measurements of the standard model (SM) top-quark production rates and top quark properties so that deviations from the SM expectations can ...
