Control over Structure Formation of Small Molecular Weight Thiophenes in Vacuum Deposited Films
Recent progress in structural studies of naphthyl end‐capped thiophenes is highlighted and compared with other similar thiophenes. Their growth in vacuum deposited films on various substrates such as silicon, octadecyltrichlorosilane, graphene, and MoS2 is discussed based on in situ X‐ray scattering and other methods.

Topical administration of racemic ibuprofen
Chirality, 1997In vitro experiments to investigate possible stereoselective aspects of the topical administration of ibuprofen have been conducted. Incubation of ibuprofen with rat skin homogenates in the presence of coenzyme A, ATP, and magnesium provided no evidence for the formation of ibuprofenyl coenzyme A (the initial intermediate in the metabolic inversion of [

Optimal Frequency of Topical Prednisolone Administration
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1979The relationship between the frequency with which 0.125% and 1.0% prednisolone acetate ophthalmic suspensions are instilled and the anti-inflammatory effect they achieve in the cornea was studied. Within the time limits of the experimental protocol, application of the drug at four-hour intervals failed to produce an effect while hourly administration ...

Correct administration of topical eye treatment
Nursing Standard, 2003Although eye treatment is an important aspect of patient care, nurses may not always be aware of the implications of inadequate treatment of ophthalmic conditions. Topical eye treatments, including eye drops and ointments, are governed by the same controls as medication administered by other routes.

Thermosensitive Gels for the Topical Administration of Diltiazem
Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology, 2011In the present work, thermosensitive systems were prepared, characterized, and proposed for diltiazem administration in the topical treatment of anal fissures. Methylcellulose and PluronicF127 were used as gelling polymers. Some low-toxicity molecules, such as sodium glycocholate, citric acid, and lactic acid, were added to gel formulations as ...

Hazards of topical ophthalmic drug administration [PDF]
Summary A wide range of topical ophthalmic drugs is available for use to provide a complete eye examination or a decrease in intraocular pressure or optimum conditions for many surgical procedures, but administration of these drugs is not free from the risks of serious adverse events.
