Topological and metric entropy for group and semigroup actions
It is well-known that the classical definition of topological entropy for group and semigroup actions is frequently zero in some rather interesting situations, e.g. smooth actions of ℤk+ (k >1) on manifolds.

A new topological entropy-based approach for measuring similarities among piecewise linear functions [PDF]
In this paper we present a novel methodology based on a topological entropy, the so-called persistent entropy, for addressing the comparison between discrete piecewise linear functions.

With a charge‐ion coupling engineering strategy, a K+/vacancy disordered K0.5Mn0.8Co0.1Ti0.1O2 material has been designed. The targeted transition metal doping disrupts charge ordering and inducing K+/vacancy disordering, thereby enabling rapid K+ diffusion through interconnected channels and a stable solid‐solution reaction mechanism.

Information-entropy enabled identifying topological photonic phase in real space
The topological photonics plays an important role in the fields of fundamental physics and photonic devices. The traditional method of designing topological system is based on the momentum space, which is not a direct and convenient way to grasp the ...

Inducing Ferromagnetism by Structural Engineering in a Strongly Spin‐Orbit Coupled Oxide
ABSTRACT Magnetic materials with strong spin‐orbit coupling (SOC) are essential for the advancement of spin‐orbitronic devices, as they enable efficient spin‐charge conversion, complex magnetic structures, spin‐valley physics, topological phases and other exotic phenomena.

On the Computability of the Topological Entropy of Subshifts
We prove that the topological entropy of subshifts having decidable language is uncomputable in the following sense: For no error bound less than 1/4 does there exists a program that, given a decision procedure for the language of a subshift as input,

Topological Entanglement Entropy of Black Hole Interiors
Recent theoretical progress shows that (2+1) black hole solution manifests long-range topological quantum entanglement similar to exotic non-Abelian excitations with fractional quantum statistics.

On entropy measures of molecular graphs using topological indices
Topological indices as a molecular descriptors are important tools in ( QSAR ) / ( QSPR ) studies. The graph entropies with topological indices inspired by Shannon’s entropy concept become the information-theoretic quantities for measuring the structural

Algorithmic Design of Disordered Networks With Arbitrary Coordination: Application to Biophotonics
Predictive Design of Disordered Networks: Disordered network‐like morphologies are abundant in nature, from cytoskeletal networks to bone structures and chalcogenide glasses. These structures are naturally hard to characterize. A new algorithmic tool extends the established Wooten–Weaire–Winer (WWW) algorithm to valencies above 4.

Topological entropy on subsets for fixed-point free flows
By considering all possible reparametrizations of the flows instead of the time- \begin{document} $1$ \end{document} maps, we introduce Bowen topological entropy and local entropy on subsets for flows.
