Toric varieties, monoid schemes and cdh descent

open access: yes, 2015
We give conditions for the Mayer–Vietoris property to hold for the algebraic K-theory of blow-up squares of toric varieties and schemes, using the theory of monoid schemes.

ALGEBRAIC, COMBINATORIAL AND TOPOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF SINGULAR VIRTUAL BRAID MONOIDS

open access: yes, 2019
International audienceIn this paper we discuss algebraic, combinatorial and topological properties of singular virtual braids. On the algebraic side we state the relations between classical and virtual singular objects, in addition we discuss a Birman ...

A topological approach to transductions

open access: yes, 2005
This paper is a contribution to the mathematical foundations of the theory of automata. We give a topological characterization of the transductions ?

A Hopf Monoid On Set Families

open access: yes, 2022
We first introduce a Hopf monoid on set families called SF. Following that we will use the topological methods of Aguiar and Ardila to find a cancellation-free formula for the Hopf submonoid of SF spanned by lattices of order ideals.

From lax monad extensions to Topological theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We investigate those lax extensions of a Set-monad T = (T,m, e) to the category V-Rel of sets and V-valued relations for a quantale V = (V,⊗, k) that are fully determined by ξ maps : TV ⟶ V.

Metric topologies on multiset spaces as topological monoids and their group completion

open access: yesTopology and its Applications
We construct a multiset space $\mathbb{N}[X]$ over a metric space $X$ that simultaneously enjoys desirable topological properties and admits a natural matching metric $d_{\mathbb{N}[X]}$, making it a metrizable abelian topological monoid whose structure is compatible with the original metric on $X$.
