An Ordering of Convex Topological Relations
2012Topological relativity is a concept of interest in geographic information theory. One way of assessing the importance of topology in spatial reasoning is to analyze commonplace terms from natural language relative to conceptual neighborhood graphs, the alignment structures of choice for topological relations.

Topologically ordered competitive sampling
Neural Networks, 1994Abstract An important problem in nonparametric modeling is the selection of samples from an independent and identically distributed observation (IID) process such that the resulting sample ensemble forms a prototypical model of the observation process.

First-order topological axioms
Journal of Symbolic Logic, 1981AbstractWe exhibit a finite list of first-order axioms which may be used to define topological spaces. For most separation axioms we discover a first-order equivalent statement.
