M-Polynomials and Degree-Based Topological Indices of the Crystallographic Structure of Molecules

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2018
Topological indices are numerical parameters used to study the physical and chemical properties of compounds. In quantitative structure–activity relationship QSARs, topological indices correlate the biological activity of compounds with their ...

Emergent Spin‐Glass Behavior in an Iron(II)‐Based Metal–Organic Framework Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A one‐pot, solvent‐free synthesis yields an Fe2+‐based metal‐organic framework (MOF) glass featuring a continuous random network structure. The material exhibits spin‐glass freezing at 14 K, driven by topological‐disorder and short‐range magnetic frustration, showcasing the potential of MOF glasses as a plattform for cooperative magnetic phenomena in ...

Topological conditions drive stability in meta-ecosystems

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
On a global level, ecological communities are being perturbed at an unprecedented rate by human activities and environmental instabilities. Yet, we understand little about what factors facilitate or impede long-term persistence of these communities ...

Computations of the M-Polynomials and Degree-Based Topological Indices for Dendrimers and Polyomino Chains

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analytical Chemistry, 2018
Topological indices correlate certain physicochemical properties like boiling point, stability, and strain energy of chemical compounds. In this report, we compute M-polynomials for PAMAM dendrimers and polyomino chains.

Topological phases and topological entropy of two-dimensional systems with finite correlation length

open access: yes, 2008
We elucidate the topological features of the entanglement entropy of a region in two dimensional quantum systems in a topological phase with a finite correlation length $\xi$.

Magnetic Force Microscopy Signatures of Higher‐Order Skyrmions and Antiskyrmions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic force microscopy operated under vacuum conditions enables the qualitative identification of higher‐order skyrmions and antiskyrmions in Co/Ni multilayers at room temperature. Distinct stray‐field contrast signatures arise from vertical Bloch lines and complex domain‐wall configurations.

Fractional skyrme lines in ferroelectric barium titanate

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
We predict a topological defect in perfectly screened ferroelectric barium titanate which we call a skyrme line. These are linelike objects characterized by skyrmionic topological charge.

Structure of 2D Topological Stabilizer Codes [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2014
We provide a detailed study of the general structure of two-dimensional topological stabilizer quantum error correcting codes, including subsystem codes. Under the sole assumption of translational invariance, we show that all such codes can be understood in terms of the homology of string operators that carry a certain topological charge.

Stacking‐Engineered Magnonic Topology and Transport in Honeycomb Homobilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Topological magnons have emerged as a promising platform for dissipationless bosonic transport. However, a straightforward and effective strategy to engineer such topological states in real materials has yet to be fully realized. Here, a general scheme for controlling magnonic topological states via stacking engineering in van der Waals ...
